This month is actually very important because his ruler, Venus, is retrograde in Leo and Mars is in Virgo, his solar twelfth house, and both these placements are a little cautious and reticent as they encourage him to look inwardly for answers and thus, he’s slightly less sociable and communicative than usual.
This could be an excellent time for him to use his imagination to ponder his future or, alternatively scenario-build for his new ventures. The New Moon in Cancer indicates he’s ready for a slightly different direction in terms of his ambitions and where he’s aiming to be and this month is one of toying with ideas. His indecisive nature is enhanced, and his very ambivalent, so he’s quite evasive when you ask questions or want to know where he stands.
Mars enters Virgo on the 11th of July
This is not his most assertive phase, and it’s important for him to be aware of karma attached to any decisions or actions he takes.
He could behave in ways that are not necessarily grounded in real life – however, his actions are guided by a higher purpose or calling and are strongly influenced by subconscious motivations too.
Some of his ideas may be very idealistic, developed only in his imagination and you may need to help him separate what is real and what is not so that he can make better choices.
Mercury enters Leo on the 12th of July
This position is a vibrant indication for his social life, and he’s more likely to form group affiliations as he’s got a vibrant and curious energy, that’s often expressed by looking to engage in networks, groups and organizations.
As he’s an active participant in his social circles, groups, and organizations, this is where he’s likely to meet new people, maybe you. Alternatively, if you’re already dating, you could feel a little jealous because he’s distracted by these activities. This could be a time when you are more unsure of his motivations in love, but you should give him space to express and explore his more social side.

Venus retrograde in Leo from the 23rd July
This retrograde brings about an unwillingness within him to face the realities of life, and he’s seeking to escape by putting aside immediate concerns and thinking about the future. He enjoys hanging out with new people, however, he’s often inclined to avoid his regular cliques and groups as he may find them uninteresting and less inspiring.
To capture his attention you have to be creative and ethereal; he is most interested in ideas and playing around with possibilities rather than dealing with practical matters. This is a great time for unconventional and open-ended relationships rather than demanding relationships which are under pressure from the many stresses of the rat race. The best relationships are where you represent to him an oasis of calm and retreat from the madness.
Theme of Month – This is a creative and imaginative month for Libra guy, and he’s keen on activities that are romantic with a hint of mystery. He’s inspired by fantasy, possibilities and potentials, but he’s not grounded in reality. As a partner, understand that like a butterfly, he’s rather hard to catch and just when you think he’s settling down, he’s off again. Basically, he’s unclear about the things that he is searching for, but he’s definitely searching for something.
He’s less likely to demonstrate the willingness to face realities, to debate or engage in confrontation – in fact obfuscation is the name of his game this July.

Do: The new moon phase extends from the 17th of July to the 30th of July. This waxing phase is the perfect fortnight for new initiatives, setting plans, establishing goals, starting anything positive and being proactive. The waxing phase is not a great time for political matters or activism.
This is a great period for his finances, cash flow improves. It’s a positive period for investing, buying new assets (ie a car or hot tub) and gaining new clients. A good month for financial analysis and changes to investments.
Avoid: This is not a time when he should follow the crowd or jump on a bandwagon, it’s important for him to be his own person. New legislation should be analyzed for how it influences his business. Networking is not favored.
This a successful time for new business ventures in hospitality, tourism, catering or a family business. Working from home is not ideal. Real estate and home improvements are not favored. Large scale family events and having family to stay is not advisable.

Week One – Over the Place
He’s running on high octane, and it can be hard to for him switch off; he is quite excitable and spontaneous. His desire to expand himself regarding making new friends, learning and investing in his education and self-promotion can leave him a little stretched as he is initiating many new things and perhaps not giving all of them the attention they need to make them successful.
This can also mean that you need to be tolerant and give him space to pursue his whims. It’s unlikely that he’ll be focusing on the most important matters because he’s spreading himself too thinly; he is not good at discerning what the most important priorities are, so you may be left with some ends to tie up.
So take a step back and think, don’t become immersed in his whirlwind.
Week Two – Asking Too Much
His desire nature is very powerful right now, and he can be hard to satisfy sexually and emotionally – this is a problem if you guys are isolated, i.e., new in a town or country with a smaller social circle and no family around as you have to be all things all the time to your each other. You need to take the lead regarding being mature and allowing things to develop organically without piling on pressure.
Find more pleasure outside of the relationship (not regarding having an affair obviously, but via social or creative pursuits) and you will find that satisfaction grows slowly but surely. Differences in how to spend money regarding your enjoyable expenditure, i.e., entertainment, holidays, and alcohol versus saving and investing for the future can cause arguments, and your values on this subject will differ.
Week Three – Needing Freedom
He’s rather hard to understand, as he’s acting out of character this week. You should aim to improve communication, even though he is a little impatient and may avoid sitting down and having a meaningful talk about the crazy feelings he’s experiencing.
If you can get on board with him and embrace the spirit of adventure and fantasy into your love and sex life, it is much better than just leaving him to his own devices. Respect his need for freedom and exploring through contemplating and daydreaming.
If you are in a new relationship, you may either break up for a period (so that you can have some space) or have a cooling-off period after a particularly intense or confusing time.
This is not a time when Libra Guy can survive in a restrictive or controlling relationship. He can be obstructive when he feels under pressure; however, in happy, positive relationships, he can be funny and inspiring; it is only where there are deeper issues that he will be inclined to be perverse and even sarcastic.
Week Four – Making Assumptions
He’s a little weak-willed because he is less likely to follow through on promises, and he’s likely to avoid committing. He’s easily tempted into new relationships, and so if you are friends with him, that relationship could easily turn romantic, but remember, he’s very fluid now and anything could change next month when Venus is direct again.
He may be prone to making assumptions or jumping to conclusions that suit him emotionally, but he should be careful of wishful thinking and be alert of the reasons behind the choices that he makes. The dreamer within him is stimulated, and he is both excited and afraid of the things that he is beginning to realize about his situation.
The message this week is that although it is good to have dreams and hopes, it is even better to take action to attain those dreams. At some point in the next few months, he will need to stop fantasizing and face the reality of practice versus theory, but he’s not ready to test the courage of his convictions.
Closing Thoughts
This month is wonderful for long-distance relationships, alternate relationships and open relationships as it favors progressive thinking in love. Couples who are travelling together, especially on tours which are very adventurous or even bohemian or spiritual, will experience a special connection.
This month indicates dreams, illusions and temptations are all part of the mix as he looks to satisfy nagging doubts and the more intangible feelings that haunt him in his dreams or inspire him in his quiet moments. He can be a little negative, but this is not a bad thing as he’s more likely to see pitfalls and put measures in place to deal with them.
